This week’s walk was to oxford house in weavers field to see the exhibition on social change in Tower hamlets.
Whilst at Oxford house our ‘’Walker of 2016’’ was awarded to Alan Burling. He was voted by the group as walker of the year based on his massive progress in his physical ability , regular attendance to the session and positive friendly attitude. (He also has a great first name J )
Alan was very pleased to win his first ever medal and said he would always remember this day
‘’I’m so happy and pleased to win this medal. I’ve never won a medal before so I will never forget this day. I will keep it on display in my living room for my family to see’’ Alan Burling
The Osmani Trust walk group takes place every Thursday at 11.30am from the Bethnal green library. The group is aimed at getting people to walk and socialise more in their everyday life. We explore new local locations and exciting attractions each week. Followed by a complimentary tea and coffee while we reflect and chat back at the library.
Anyone is free to join us by coming along to the Bethnal green library on a Thursday at 11.30am and asking for Alan, Wilma or Anne.
