Osmani Trust were invited by the national organisation Kick It Out to present the Football in the Community Project (FITC) to a host of guests, professionals, London based amateur clubs and community groups that are looking for ideas on projects that use football to address social issues at the London One Game event.
Abdal Ahmed explained the work they have been doing over the past two and a half years and how it has directly benefited young people at a local and national level and those aspiring to become coaches and referees. Abdal highlighted some of the major milestones they have achieved. These included: the now annual Tower Hamlets Community Cup, Kick It Out Campaign, girls football development and success of the school based coaching programme.
The FITC project has fully embedded its roots within the Borough and as a leading service provider for football, and the projects continues to grow in ambition and strives to provide hundreds more locals the access to the beautiful game.
