On the 1st June 2017 the ‘Bethnal Green Walkers’ in partnership with Osmani Health Trainers took a stroll along Bethnal Green Road and stopped at Oxford House for a tour to learn about the building’s history which dates back to 1884.
The group took advantage of the great summer weather and beautiful open green space and they had a picnic in Weavers Field park. All members of the group brought along healthy food to share such as sandwiches, fruits and homemade cakes. Everyone really enjoyed the day in the park with the lovely weather. A group member, David even performed some live singing for the group as they relaxed in the sun. Another picnic in the park will take place before the summer ends this year.
The ‘Bethnal Green Walkers’ group takes place every Thursday at 11.30am from the Bethnal Green library in partnership with Osmani Health Trainers. The group is aimed at getting people to walk and socialise more in their everyday life. We explore new local locations and exciting attractions each week. Followed by a complimentary tea and coffee while we reflect and chat back at the Bethnal Green library. Anyone can to join the group for free by coming along to the Bethnal Green library on Thursdays at 11.30am and ask for Alan, Wilma or Anne.
