On the 17th of October 2015, Osmani Trust invited the public to participate on our quarterly fundraising event. This quarter Osmani Trust led a team of 40 individuals to Climb Mount Snowdon which is located in Snowdonia National Park in Wales. All participants helped fundraised a huge amount in a short period of time. Many participants looked to create fresh ideas to fundraise though charity car wash, cake sales and evening daring to do the extreme – coloring their beard in search for sponsorship. In total Osmani Trust supported by Sainsbury’s and NAFAS raised approximately £8,898.13 within a 3 week period. All money raised will go towards our charity organisation to support towards the exceptional community projects run by our charity which includes:
The Shaathi Mentoring Service mentors children who are in long term Social Care and mentors them on a weekly basis helping them to overcome the barriers they face.
The Amaal girls project helps young women develop their voice and provides regular youth club nights and holiday programmes and residential which I volunteer with.
We also have an amazing Health Trainers team who offer free health services for the community and offer children and young people healthy lifestyles and choices sessions.
Our Education and Employment team support hundreds of young people out of unemployment and into employment and training opportunities.
